RIT Student, Dan Klutts, Dies in Geneseo Car Crash

GENESEO — On Sunday a RIT student visiting Geneseo died in a early morning single car crash on Avon-Geneseo Road (Rt 39) just north of the school High School.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff John York, Daniel Klutts, 21 from Harpursville, swerved off of the highway and off of the east side of the Road where struck a tree.
On Sunday at approximately 2:30am, two motorists that passed by the accident called 911 where Geneseo Ambulance transported the young man to Strong Memorial Hospital. With family at the hospital, Klutz was pronounced dead at 10:13pm.
According to Kluttz's Facebook Page he was attending RIT and had a family member that attended SUNY Geneseo.
