Fred's Tavern Owner Arraigned in Livingston County Court on Arson Charges

MOUNT MORRIS — A man charged with attempting to set his Mt. Morris bar on fire on Veterans Day, was arraigned in Livingston County Court today.
Dennis Estruch, 54, was brought into court under charges of reckless endangerment and attempted arson in the second degree. Bail was set at $100,000 cash.
Estruch will return to court Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. for a conference and motions.
Allegedly Estruch, who owns Fred's Tavern in Mount Morris, tried to committ suicide when he filled his establishment full of natural gas. Police had to wait for the air to dissipate before they could enter the establishment, numerous streets were closed down because of the fear of a spark igniting the fire.
