LIVONIA — In the Village "Pot Luck" isn't just a gathering of food and people anymore, it's a great group of musicians and music lovers that come together every other Tuesday night at the Livonia Inn.
The group formed when some Livingston County locals, who would gather yearly in Trumansburg for the annual Grassroots Festival, needed a place to play together making it a version of "Pot Luck".
"We are just a group of music lovers jamming out," said co-founder Bill VanBuskirk, "We have a few core members but other than that we have a mailing list of performers that join us at various events."
From basic instruments like the guitar and banjo, to the mandolin, wash board and exotic drums such as the dijemba there is something for everyone. So if your into everything from old railroad working tunes, Celtic songs and your basic jam band feel come and check it out and see what you've been missing.
For the musicians it's a chance to play for the music they love, "We generally play at parties and gatherings so this is a nice opportunity to get the word out about what we are about."
