Train accident kills 17-year-old Dalton girl

LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Kaylie M. Mann, 17, was struck and killed by a train in Dalton this morning, according to Livingston County Sheriff John York.

Mann was adjacent to the tracks near the Oakland St. intersection when a Norfolk Southern train travelling from Buffalo to Binghamton hit the girl. 

Police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9 a.m., and the investigation is ongoing, according to the Sheriff's Office.
