New bike shop to open on Main Street

GENESEO — As one business closes on Main Street another opens because one cycling enthusiast has embraced his passion for bicycles and the community.

With the resent closing of Swain sports, former employee Mike Duke saw the need for a locally owned bike shop and decided on opening his own business.

"The cycling aspect of business is thriving in this community," said Duke. "Cyclepath will focus on bikes and service as we continue with old relationships and build new ones."

Livingston Cycling Club, which now has over 100 members, is proof that the sport is growing in our region.

The store, located on the corner of Center and Main Street, will open for bike maintenance work this Monday. Hopefully, by the end of the month their will be plenty of new inventory.

Cyclepath will be carrying a new line up of Raleigh and Felt bikes as well as some accessories and parts.

They also have a Facebook page that they will be using to spread the word on promotions and events.
