VIDEO: Region Sends Sgt Snyder Home on Final Journey With Honor and Respect

WAYLAND —  Livingston County paid tribute to Sgt Devin Snyder, who was killed in Afghanistan as her casket passed through the region in a motorcade on her final journey home.

The Way-Co Graduate who was promoted to Sgt posthumously, was killed along with three others when her vehicle was destroyed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

Over 100 vehicles including the Patriot Guard Riders escorted the young woman home. The time it took the flag filled motorcade to pass through one point was over 3 minutes.

Donations may be made to the Track and Field program or the Girls Soccer program at Wayland-Cohocton Central School.

The former High School Track athlete will be buried Saturday with full military honors at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
